Due to some minor construction in our house I knew Finn wouldn't be able to nap at home, so we went for a run during his first nap and a walk during his second.
I kept the pace and the mileage a bit higher than I normally would with the jogger--doing a more moderate workout than usual Thursday evening left me with more spring in the legs, I guess.
AM: 9N out and back, 7mi easy w/ jogger.
PM: Hulls Falls 4mi walk w/ jogger.
I probably would have skipped the afternoon walk if it weren't for Finn's need for a nap, but it really is great cross-training. A brisk pace gets the heart rate up, the legs get a good stretch, and there's no pounding to affect the next day's run. Should do this more often.
